- Countable (apple/apples): singular + plural, use a/an, many, few, how many.
- Uncountable (water, rice, money, advice): no plural, no a/an; use much, little, how much.
- some (affirmative) / any (negative + question) and a lot of work with both.
- TR: many/how many + sayılabilen çoğul; much/how much + sayılamayan. some olumlu, any olumsuz/soru.
- Plural test: can you add -s? — apples yes, milks no.
- a/an test: a/an never sits before an uncountable noun.
- some/any split: some in + sentences; any in − and ? sentences.

- Common uncountables: water, milk, bread, rice, money, homework, advice, information, news, furniture, traffic, weather.
- Trick: some uncountables have countable "containers": a bottle of water, a piece of advice, a loaf of bread.
- TR: money, news, advice, information sayılamaz — çoğul -s almaz, a/an almaz.
- news is singular: The news is shocking — never are.
- few vs little: few friends / little sugar.
- No plural club: furniture, weather and homework never take -s.
