Rule in 60 secondsThe one pattern to memorise.

  • Short adjectives (1 syllable): + -er / -est: tall → taller → tallest. Use than after comparatives, the before superlatives.
  • Long adjectives (2+ syllables): more / most: expensive → more expensive → most expensive.
  • Equality: as + adj + as: She is as tall as me.
  • TR: Kısa sıfat -er/-est; uzun sıfat more/most. Karşılaştırmada than, superlative'ta the.
  • Syllable test: tall (1) → taller; expensive (3) → more expensive.
